The Mayakoba area in Mexico is so special…I was lucky enough to spend a few days at the beautiful Fairmont Mayakoba, and what a restful time it was!

The hotel itself is so fun to explore, surrounded by luscious jungle you can spot lizards & birds & monkeys and even crocodiles while you walk or ride bikes around the property…It is such a peaceful place where you can look up and see the stars at night (a city dweller’s dream!) and where you can just sit and listen to nature grow all around you.

One of the staff told us that there are positive, healing vibrations the area, and while I am not into that type of thing, I believe it! It was such a happy, peaceful spot.

Every bite of food we had was delicious and the adventures on the lagoon boat and yacht were so beautiful and easy to organize through the hotel. The boat ride around the property is a must do! That is where we spotted the crocodile, and it feels as though you have gone back in time. A very cool way to see the jungle. I also highly recommend visiting the spa! We had divine massages at the Willow Stream Spa, and then spent time in the beautiful pools and hot tubs in the spa area - You could spend the entire day there, it is magic!

Last but not least, the staff at the Fairmont Mayakoba were the absolute friendliest, making you feel so special and offering things before you even knew you needed them.

It was such an amazing experience, I already can’t wait to go back!
